COUCHDOWN

This week Ruth visited Sofa Mart to see what the status was on our couch...the salesman asked if any one had contacted us? What?
Well turns out the woman who sold us the couch had been fired for shady practices amongst customers a few weeks ago, she was our contact...also we found out the slip she wrote us stated that the couch would be here in 2 weeks which is a big difference from 8 weeks which she verbally told us, so the salesman that Ruth was talking to just assumed that we were furious and was apologizing and saying that they will make it up to us...So guess what? The couch will be here in two weeks like we have been planing only now sofa mart wants to "fix us up" with something for all the grief and suffering they caused!

NEW RELIENT K

Two new Relient k songs were released yesterday and they are awesome! I give them two thumbs up! Must Have Done Something Right is the title of the first track and 3 seconds into it I knew this was a good song. RK just gave us a taste of how good the new album is gonna be and hopefully that will hold me over until March 6, 2007 when the new CD Five Score And Seven Years Ago hits shelf's! ON THE TOP 20

Last night I watched The Truman Show... It's on my top 20!
The reason is that movie was so far before it's time, it almost predicts the future and what was going to happen to TV in the coming years. The movie was originally going to be a Sic-Fi movie and while they were making it they thought that it was a pretty unbelievable story line. Give it a few years and boom Reality TV is born. I am sure this idea has probably come up in some of those network meeting as a new Reality show so watch out it might be coming soon to a TV near you!

WEEKEND IN REVIEW!

Here we go!

Thurs. morning we arrived safe and sound in Atlanta about 3am, we stayed up and visited with Anna and Nathan for a while and then went to bed... after a few hours of sleep and some more visiting it was time for our Thanksgiving dinner so we all ate as much turkey as we could and went and played baseball. (It's more fun than napping after turkey) Here is a pic of the Thanksgiving Day Champions!

We finished Friday by assembling a air hockey table, eating at Firehouse subs, and having our Christmas. Here's a pic of the Christmas time fun and my favorite gift... My Wife!

Sat... We all went hiking up Kennesaw Mountain it was a beautiful day to hike! Here is a pic of Nathan and I out of breath

After the hike we all ate chili and played some air hockey. Good times! We pulled out about 8:30pm and made our way back to South Bend and got home about 8am on Sun. Morning.

I love this time of the year because of all the family get-togethers and I thank God for the awesome family he has given Ruth and I.

TRIP

Well we have had a real good time here in Atlanta... we have had some intenet issues this weekend so I haven't been able to post much but I am going to do the weekend in review when I get home tomorrow, so stay tuned!


I missed the couchdown(thanks steve) on Thurs. so here it goes.... 3 WEEKS!!! I can almost taste the sweet leather!

THANKMAS TIME AGAIN!

Thanksgiving Eve is here! Ruth and I are leaving today for our annual Thanksgiving/Christmas getaway today. We are gonna make the trip that we did at the start of the month to Achworth, GA and you know what that means... Firehouse subs and lots of ice cream treats with Nathan!

I'M PRETTY MUCH A LUMBERJACK!

Today my soon to be brother-in-law, my pal James, and I fought our way through the forest to overcome nature with a mighty blow... Well we at least chopped down a few trees and drove a truck into the woods... So as I was saying we are pretty much Lumberjacks. We made this great curvey path into the woods and then cleared a circle at the end of the path and put a firepit in the middle of the circle! I will be sore tomorrow but it will be well worth it because of all the great bon fires that we will have in the circle. Just don't try to drive back there, you could get stuck.

4 WEEKS!

Well It's everyone's favorite time of the week!!!!
The Couch Countdown.....
When we last saw the couch countdown it left us hanging at five weeks but this week we saw it battle Monday and Tuesday without even a scratch to make the count 4 weeks! Great Job couch countdown! You make us so proud the way you get closer and closer to us each day! Can't wait to enjoy a movie and a warm blanket with you! Until then keep on truckin.

Well I made my first imix today on itunes!
I have been listening to the David Crowder Band for years now and I am always making some kind of greatest hits CD mix, but alas it is a hard task due to the number of incredible songs that he has... So after years of searching I believe that I have found it... The GOLD mix of David Crowder Band!

SOFA OR COUCH

Well the countdown sits at 5 weeks until that wonderful piece of furniture is where it belongs... I guess you could say it is COMING HOME!!!

(pretty lame to give myself a shout out I know!)

BACK TO WORK!!!!

We started working on the house again this week. The project at hand is the upstairs bedroom. We got some paint and I have been working on the patching all the holes in the floor. I also need to add about three lights because it is really dark up there. Once we get all that done we will carpet and change all the light switches and plug's so they look new and white to match the rest of the house! That should make the room complete... I will post some pictures of our progress one of these days, but until then use your imagination!

MONDAY MORNING

I have been listening to a band as of late called Monday Morning. I have not heard a lot of hype about it so I figure I will create some. I picked up their CD Fools Paradise back in August after hearing the song Wonder of it All on the radio and it's good stuff! That track is my favorite thus far but the album is growing on me, so I figure I should pass it on. Check them out and let me know what you think!

ND BASKETBALL

I got a chance to check out the Notre Dame Basketball team tonight. My friend Will and I went to the Joyce Center and watched then take on Bellarmine, ND won 85 to 57.

The half time show was pretty groovy tonight, they had two guys in these giant human spheres race... we gotta get some of these. Check them out! Hours of Fun...(until the air runs out inside)

THE REAL THING

We experienced Atlanta today! We went to Varsity for lunch. It's a cool fastfood grease pit with some really good food! After Varsity we went to the Coke Museum. It was so much fun yet informative plus we sampled tons of different coke products from all over the world. We might have discovered the long lost uij fanta (as found in Hungary [uij = new in Hungarian]) that we loved so! Highlights... Lost kids, old coke commercials, cool souvenirs, and a photo shoot around every corner. We went back to Acworth for supper with my long lost uncle Richard who has been searching for uij fanta** and then went back to the house for some R&R!

We are gonna visit Chattanooga tomorrow!

WE MADE IT

We made the trip from South Bend to Atlanta in record time! 8 1/2 hrs... yeah we didn't speed. (maybe?)
Tonight we are gonna see Anna perform on Broadway... (maybe?) and have a bag'o fun!
anywho for everyone in South Bend it's really warm here, I will try to bring some back!

ROAD TRIP

Tonight we are leaving for Atlanta! 7 of us our going to get the heck out of the snow and go south for the weekend! We are going to see my sister-in-law preform in a play amongst other touristy things that we have cooked up! I also get to see Ruth's family which is always nice! (Nathan+ Firehouse subs = good time)

ONLY 6 MORE

6 more weeks till my couch comes home! Looking forward to it!
